La borsa dell'avvocato (Italian Edition)

[DOC] La borsa dell'avvocato (Italian Edition) by Giuseppe Quattrocchi in Arts-Photography

Description

This is the first major analysis of the Roman pottery from excavations in Lincoln (comprising more than 150;000 sherds). The pottery is presented in seven major ware groups. Fine wares include a modest range of imports and are dominated by Nene Valley products. Oxidised wares are mostly local products with a few imports as are the shell- and calcite-tempered wares and reduced wares. The final three are the standard specialised wares: mortaria; mostly of German and Mancetter-Hartshill manufacture; amphorae (80% Spanish Dressel 20) and samian; mostly from Les Martres/Lezoux and 75% undecorated! The discussion explores the chronological range of the entire ceramic assemblage across the three discrete parts of the Roman fortress and later colonia.

Thats fine; but I wish more people who knew him would have been interviewed. For better or for worse; it certainly would have fleshed out some bones and made for a more interesting book. Regardless; if youre a fan of the music of T. Rex and curious about the life of Marc Bolan; this is a must read. I say its a "must read" because theres not a lot out there thats been written about either. The bits you can find on the internet seem to be mostly subjective; so I do give a positive nod to Mark Paytress for his objectivity here.3 of 3 people found the following review helpful. WilsonThe book concentrates ad nauseum on his music--what he recorded; when he recorded it; where he recorded it; who was there. Most of this stuff is generally publicly available. I wanted more on his personal life. There is an almost endlessly detailed look into his childhood; but almost nothing at all on his personal life from the time he began recording until he died.3 of 3 people found the following review helpful. Interesting; but the story plods as it goes on.By CustomerAs a big Bolan fan I looked forward to this book. However; Ive found; like other biographies of rock stars Ive read (Meat Loaf; Dr. John); while interssting at first; the story begins to plod as it goes on. I guess theres only so much of interest beside the music.
