It consists of a series of contemporary accounts by different individuals directly involved in the life of Coventry Cathedral over the last half century. It offers something for everyone; whether you or someone you know is personally involved in running a cathedral; working to make the church relevant to contemporary society; or interested in how one builds successful communities and brings reconciliation between peoples across the world. So multi-faceted has been the imaginative and sometimes surprising ministry in Coventry that one volume will never do justice to all aspects or to the hundreds of people involved from many countries. But when the history of the church in the 20th century is written; this account will surely be essential reading. The book is well illustrated and contains fascinating vignettes throughout its pages; as well as more detailed accounts of the cathedrals work. There is an accurate index and a valuable glossary.
