L’importanza dell’ammasso aperto delle Pleiadi è nota sin da epoche remote. I Babilonesi; ad esempio; ponevano l’inizio del nuovo anno in corrispondenza con il sorgere eliaco delle Pleiadi. Esiodo; prima figura storica della letteratura greca; nel suo scritto "Le opere e i giorni"; descrive l’importanza che questo gruppo di stelle ebbe sia nella regolazione dei lavori agricoli; sia per la navigazione in mare aperto. Le ricerche antropologiche di studiosi come James Frazer dimostrano quanto il culto di questo asterismo fosse diffuso in tutto il pianeta.Lo scopo di questo libro è quello illustrare l’ipotesi avanzata da uno dei relatori; Augusto Mulas; nel libro "L’isola sacra: ipotesi sulluso cultuale dei nuraghi"; nel quale si suppone che alcuni nuraghi; situati nel territorio del comune di Torralba; nello specifico il nuraghe Santu Antine e i sette a esso limitrofi; siano stati collocati dall’uomo nuragico ricalcando lo schema delle principali stelle dell’ammasso aperto M45 della costellazione del Taurus. Una tale ipotesi deve essere sottoposta a un’accurata analisi probabilistica perché è sempre possibile che la disposizione sia casuale. I calcoli riportati nella presente pubblicazione dimostrano che nel territorio di Torralba (SS) c’è un gruppo di otto nuraghi che; assieme a una domus de janas da poco rinvenuta; riproducono intenzionalmente le Pleiadi con una probabilità quasi assoluta.

The format of the songbook is very simple; melody line; guitar chords; lyrics. There is no piano score; so if you play piano youll want to choose another book. That said; the chords and melody seem accurate and there is a chord diagram at the end (not quite all the chords used in the book); so you can have a lot of fun playing and singing the basic songs. No strum patterns are included.My biggest complaint about the kindle version is it is a little grainy. It looks like someone copied the book at about 100 dpi; its readable; but just not sharp. Of course; because of copyrights; youre not supposed to print the book (which is possible but not easy). I mention this because I dont always want to practice the song with the computer or my Android in front of me; Id like to be able to print a hardcopy and put it on a music stand.I found a few of the other reviews off the mark. Yes there is a melody line; there is another book with only chords. Yes this is a songbook; not a story of Neils life.Synopsis: The good - 96 songs with basic; accurate scores.
