1 of 8 people found the following review helpful. just a general bookBy VINCENT POTUTOjust a very general book on walt disney and disney history - thought it would be in depth - not so - good for a high school report.5 of 5 people found the following review helpful. Outstanding and UniqueBy DisneyfileIm not sure what the previous reviewer of this volume was thinking - or reading - but this book presents one of the most comprehensive examinations of Disney non-fiction available. The scholarship is top-notch -- the authors are all experts in their respective areas -- and several of the essays examine Disney productions not discussed elsewhere. beyond a brief mention. such as Circarama and People and Places. The book will be an asset for any scholar seeking to do additional work on Disney edu-tainment. as well as for the informed. well-read Disney fan. The essays are jargon-free. but do require thought and some degree of sophistication on the part of the reader. Its not a work of Disney nostalgia. but of intelligent scholarly analysis.
