Fenton falls in love but uexpectedly has to travel abroad. On his return he is disturbed to find his sweetheart married to another. The story has many characters and circumstances that contribute in some way to the story as Martin searches out the mystery surrounding the husband of the woman he still loves. Some parts drag somewhat but it all works to a happy final resolution.0 of 0 people found the following review helpful. I always have to remind myself that when this was written in an era when folks had no entertainment but books and the longer the better. I think you will find the story entertaining.
