It heads you in the right direction for writing songs that you intend to pitch; and an understanding of the process. You may not; in the end; want to write that way but knowledge is good. Its worth the price.0 of 0 people found the following review helpful. Great book. Very insightfulBy CustomerGreat book. Very insightful. I found it helpful. IrelandIve read about a dozen different books about songwriting; being a fledgling trying to fly in this musical realm. This was the most entertaining to read AND it gave great tips for everything from writing lyrics to the business end of publishing; etc. There were also some excellent exercises to try for the writing process that I found very helpful. Highly recommend this book!
