Mark Ramprakash is arguably the greatest English batsman of his generation; but he is also an enigma. He is among an elite group of players who have scored 100 first-class centuries; yet has never flourished as he should have done at Test level. To many people in the UK; he is just as well known for his exploits on the dance floor: he won Strictly Come Dancing in 2006 and went on to win the Champion of Champions final in 2008 for Sport Relief. In Strictly Me; Ramprakash covers in detail all aspects of his cricket career - from the hot-headed cricketing prodigy who made his Test debut for England at the age of 21 to finally being cast aside by his country in 2002. He discusses how he has become one of the UKs best celebrity dancers and how his newfound status as a media celebrity has flourished since then.

The drawings themselves are meant to be copied for strengthening your anatomical skills. This is among my favorite drawing books and I am so happy to have found this treasure.1 of 1 people found the following review helpful. Nice illustrationsBy Theoni LussosThe illustrations in this book. basically engravings from Frederick De Witt are glorious and are reminscent of the Charles Bargue and Jean-LAtilde;copy;on GAtilde;copy;rAtilde;me and if thats what you are looking for this is a good inexpensive way to get well presented anatomical drawings. It starts with simple body parts via chapter 1 to full blown engravings by the last. If instead you are looking for some explanation on how to use these drawings. ala sight size. the grid method. etc. you will find it sadly lacking as there is nothing mentioned about that at all. so you would have to supplement it with another book to learn the sight size methodCast Drawing Using the Sight-Size Approach or get the video by Judith KudlowClassical Painting: The Realist Sight Size Method with Judith Kudlow.0 of 0 people found the following review helpful. Just okBy CustomerThe illustrations are nice. but I wish there were accompanying text. I understand thats not the modern publishers fault. They are simply reprinting an old 17th Century drawing manual. But. its clear this book was meant to be used in a class or studio setting with instruction given by the master as to what to glean from a given illustration. While interesting as a historical artifact. if youre trying to learn to draw youre better off getting the books by Bridgman. Loomis. Bammes. Aristides. Speed. etc.
