THE BEST BRONX RIVER BOOK IVE ENCOUNTEREDBy CustomerAs I read this book; I was continually impressed at the clarity and fluency of verbiage exhibited by the author. There are just enough photos to keep the reader visually engaged with the text. Mr. DeVillo distinguishes clearly between what is fact or folklore. Its format resembles a textbook assignable by teacher of academic history classes; i.e. footnotes and extensive index. I recommend that the footnote references be read as encountered; as they add depth to each chapter. My only complaint is the paper is of such good quality that the book is somewhat heavy to hold comfortably. It would be better if a hard-cover edition were available.
