The size of the book was smaller than expected and this meant the format reduced the impact of the subject. The text while seeking an academic status didnt provide any satisfying additional history. KerrIve lived in the NYC area for 30+ years and it drives me crazy that so much of the Citys amazing visual history has either been sacrificed by rapacious developers or bulldozed into oblivion. I know many of these images and was delighted to see many more that I had missed. In any event; its a great connection to a part of the city thats faded but still there if you know where to look.
