I have come to the conclusion that this book is purely for supplemental to the design a structural masonry. The book is very good at referring to other information such as ACI 530 to actually design masonry. This book contains no examples or design methods that would be useful for a practicing engineer. I believe that this book may be useful for architects. construction managers. or purely for use academically for engineers for supplemental information.Fortunately. I found this book for around $20.00 which is about the maximum I would pay for this book. If you find yourself struggling with the design of structural masonry DO NOT purchase this book. there are other resources that are out there to help.
