Seitdem gehouml;rt das Buch zu den Grundfesten in unserer Gesellschaft und bisher konnte ihm auch die Medienrevolution des 20. Jahrhunderts nicht viel anhaben. Das Lesen lauml;ngerer Texte war bis dahin meistens nur mit Hilfe des gedruckten Buches mouml;glich. Durch das Internet gerauml;t jedoch das bisherige Geschauml;ftsmodell der Verlage auf den Pruuml;fstand und althergebrachte Gewohnheiten werden in Frage gestellt. Der Leser begreift sich heute mehr als Individuum; welches den Anspruch hat; seinen Zugriff auf Literatur selbst so zu organisieren; wie es das gern mouml;chte; und zwar auf dem schnellsten und unkompliziertesten Weg. Da im Internet viele Informationen frei erhauml;ltlich sind; verringert sich die Bereitschaft der Konsumenten; dafuuml;r auch Geld auszugeben. Zudem haben sich Computer- und Displaytechnologien so rasant entwickelt; dass die Vorzuuml;ge des Web immer deutlicher werden und auch vor dem Buch nicht halt gemacht haben. Ohne Probleme kann man nun Wissen von mehreren Hundert Texten auf Lesegerauml;ten speichern; welche nicht grouml;szlig;er sind als ein Taschenbuch und der gewohnten Lesequalitauml;t auch in nichts nachstehen.

This book is easy to follow along. has a great layout of material. and plenty of useful examples. I referred to this book often throughout my college days. and I would recommend this to other college students. as well as those who would like to study type on their own!This is a hardback book with a paper cover. The cover does get wear and tear. which is typical. The pages in the book are thick. glossy. and of good quality for the color-pages!Note: I was not paid to write this review. nor was I given this item for free.
