Maurice Denis (Mega Square) (French Edition)

[ebooks] Maurice Denis (Mega Square) (French Edition) by Albert Kostenevitch in Arts-Photography

Description

Quirky characters and surprising events have shaped a robust community history throughout the Sebago Lakes region. Nathaniel Hawthornes lost boyhood diary offers a glimpse into his early writing days on the shore of Sebago Lake. Henry Clay Barnabee; once called the funniest man of his time; brought his crew here for relaxing lakeside summers to rest up their vocal cords around the turn of the century. Discover the story behind a stolen Chinese statue that might just be responsible for a string of curses in Naples and misfortune on the shores of Long Lake. Marilyn Weymouth Seguin explores the unusual; the mysterious and the sometimes weird layers of regional history that have remained hiddenuntil now.

This book would benefit from a DVD with someone actually demonstrating the techniques. Obtained several good pointers. Many of the illustrations and descriptions however were hard if not impossible to follow both myself and my viola instructor (who is a second generation student of the famous William Primrose).4 of 7 people found the following review helpful. Is this a complete work?By John WeaverReading through this book; it appears that the work is not complete; i.e. the book is not a stand-alone guide to violin playing. Through the numerous references to A New Approach to Violin Playing; it appears that one must posses both books to adequately understand the Havas method; let alone implement it. I also purchased Mrs. Havas DVD; "A New Approach....physical injuries in Violin and Viola playing"; and I hope that I will have better things to say about it.4 of 4 people found the following review helpful. Definitely not for self-study.By Cosmopolitan ElementI was hopeful that Kato Havass method (Ive seen her on youtube) would help me solve some fundamental problems with my playing; but her approach seems so abstract ("feel the balance") that I was unable to make practical sense of it. I hope and suppose that it would be more meaningful with a live teacher present; but as a self-study work; especially for me; it was of little use.
