A more practical explanation.By CNuessI can understand the other reviewers and there opinions. theres merit. but they lose me when they see no value in the McGraw-Hill Handbook. Yes. it isnt exactly like the NFPA books. I find this Handbook to be presented in plainer english and in better laymans-terms-like. Actual photos of electrical equipment although black and white. They go beyond just the NEC code for explanation purposes and when doing so more understanding is possible. If you are trying to buy a cheap NFPA Handbook this isnt it. I say but both.6 of 6 people found the following review helpful. Tiny text. book is too smallBy Gary L. JacksonUnless you have young eyes you will have trouble reading this book. The info is packed in fine print and is not tabularized very well. It is also thick and will not stay open. I didnt look at the dimensions before purchasing. but the photo looked like a full size textbook.. Its no wonder this book is half the price of the NFPA version. Spend the money and get the original NFPA handbook.1 of 1 people found the following review helpful. Very informative.By Bill - San LeandroVery informative. I buy it for each NEC edition. New electronic file download is a great feature of the 2008 edition. It would nice to have more text on newer code sections such as solar.
