And she writes clearly and fluidly - no dense jargon-laden prose or dry statistical-ese.Augustin bridges the communication gap between social scientists and the design community. Although technically a text/reference book it is organized and written so well; that even a non-designer can learn from these pages. This is real science made accessible; not pop-psych.The organizing concepts Augustin uses are places for: comforting; communicating; complying; challenging and continuing.I was especially delighted by the chapter on Personality and Place - new information to help create spaces for people and their many personality needs/preference.
