Shane MacGowan is aliveBy Robyn LoewenthalAn excellent read.A must for any Pogues or Shane MacGowan fan. Needs More MacGowanBy Bob MamrakThis is a nice piece of work that most Pogues fans will enjoy. Still; like most things written about the band it avoids the elephant in the room. Wed have never heard of the Pogues if not for Shane MacGowan. It attempts to treat each Pogue equally; but some Pogues are more equal than others. While its true the Pogues were more than MacGowans backing band; MacGowan was infinately more than the Pogues frontman. His genius is inadequately covered.Rake at the Gates of Hell: Shane MacGowan in Context
