These books are. of course. mostly photographs and I knew that when I purchased it. I only rated it a single star because you can find photos on Michigan Citys website that are in my opinion as informative as this book. I still live in Michigan City and most of what is pictured in this book is gone. so to have this book is like having a scrapbook of the glory days of Washington Park. The book falls in nicely with the other "Michigan City" history books by Arcadia Publishing.
