Although it is tuned like a tenor guitar; the baritone is a lovely instrument deserving of its own literature. The author goes through chords and songs in a progressive manner. For the melody of the songs; he does not use tabs but regular notes with each notes letter designated.13 of 13 people found the following review helpful. Beginner Baritone Uke BookBy NottaGeekI was determined to teach myself to play the baritone ukulele; so I bought this starter book along with my uke. Very helpful to get started; I used maybe 6 of the songs included. The chord charts are great; I still use those after 6 - 7 months. After getting "stuck" about 3 months into my learning; I took a bunch of lessons which REALLY helped me improve; but Id definitely suggest this book for starters. If you are going to start on the baritone uke; Id suggest you get this book and a clip-on electronic tuner to make life easier.0 of 0 people found the following review helpful. Clear; easy progression through chordsBy Patricia M. OwenI found this book very easy to use. It has clear illustrations for the "shapes" of the chords; showing finger placement. The songs are traditional (Little Brown Jug; When the Saints Go Marching In; and others) which use the chords you have just learned. Im very pleased with my progress. Another great resource in this book is a dictionary of chords for the baritone ukulele. You can easily teach yourself how to play. I recommend this book for beginners.
