As a sequel to Gold in Trib 1; Dougs new book; Mystery in Trib 2 is an interesting blend of fact and fiction; factual in terms of the flying; hiking; and gold-mining two friends enjoyed; fictional in the form of a cleverly woven mystery concerning the loss of a World War II military aircraft. The story is well researched and so masterfully formulated the reader will be hard pressed to separate historical fact from fiction. Mystery in Trib 2 portrays wilderness Alaska accurately and as it can be experienced by anyone fired with a lust for outdoor adventure.
