Great book!0 of 0 people found the following review helpful. Bowling Green Stock Car RacingBy BobbyCIf you have ever attended a dirt track stock car race; this book is for you. Although it is the story of the beginning of stock car racing at Beech Bend Park; one can almost hear the crash of metal on metal as these old 1930s stock cars bang doors going through the turns. The pictures are terrific; and I loved the introductory stories leading into each chapter. They are all true stories!0 of 0 people found the following review helpful. Great pictures and stories.By Judy McDonaldThis book will appeal to anyone who is interested in automobiles - particularly old stock cars. The book is full of interesting stories about real life characters and how they initiated an exciting sport in Bowling Green; Kentucky; the home of the National Corvette Museum. The book is chock full of fabulous pictures of stock cars from the 1930s and 1940s.
