I was hoping that when I graduated and went to college. Id meet some more... "cultured" people. Unfortunately. it was just some more of the same stuff. I bought this book and began to write bits of each selection on the whiteboard in my English class. After 3 weeks of confusing my classmates. I finally got around to showing them some Pulp songs. And they liked it! They said that they were able to connect to the songs and the lyrics. which Im not surprised by. Ive always loved the wit and story-telling in Jarvis Cockers lyrics and this book collects some of the best lyrics with an intro and notes by Cocker. I especially liked the notes and the insight they provide into the context of the lyrics. Easy to navigate on the Kindle as well. though Ill probably buy a physical copy as well to make it easier to flip between the text and notes. I ordered it on the Kindle because I just couldnt make myself wait for a book to arrive!
