One is the first sentence. I dont know if Im just reading it wrong but it says "both" when referring to the 3 different types of systems."Hurricanes; Tornadoes and Typhoons are both stormy atmospheric systems that have the potential to cause destruction." These Baby Professor ebooks are cute but they definitely need a good editor. The other thing I dont really like is they dont really explain the difference between a hurricane and typhoon. They essentially are the same thing just in different hemispheres. I think that would be an important thing to note.I am still giving this ebook a 4 star review because it another Baby Professor book with vivid pictures. There are about 200 books in this ebook series that are offered in the kindle store for either free or for .99cent;. You cant really go wrong with the books offered for free. There is a variety of subjects covered and most of the books follow about the same format. You can take a peek inside the books by clicking "Look Inside" and this is pretty much what you get in each book.Overall; I do love theses books although it would be nice if most of the books went into more detail but they are very basic books that I hope will get my kids interested in finding more about each subject.I plan on keeping these books on my iPad for down time for my kids when they get bored waiting different places like the doctors office or practice for a sibling. I sometimes watch a friends 3 year old daughter and she likes to look through the pictures on my phone. I plan on showing her these books to keep her entertained. I think she will love them.***** I received this ebook for free for my honest review. *****1 of 1 people found the following review helpful. Impressive way to introduce Tornadoes; Hurricanes and Typhoons. Great book for anyone at home or school.By C. ROMEROThis book ldquo;Hurricanes vs. Tornadoes vs. Typhoons: Wind Systems of the Worldrdquo; belongs to a Childrenrsquo;s book series published by Speedy Publishing. On this kind of childrenrsquo;s books one usually finds excellent photos and basic references that are quite suitable for the underage; for those small family members at home; for those parents who love to teach their children at home and this type of books serve well for teaching purposes at school too. This book refers about what is it; how it happens; how it develops and the reasons why in reference to Hurricanes; Tornadoes; and Typhoons. Also; by reading this book any reader might be able to tell the difference between a hurricane; a tornadoes and a typhoon. By definition; Hurricanes; Tornadoes and Typhoons are both stormy atmospheric systems that have the potential to cause destruction. Although; Hurricane is a tropical cyclone that develops in the North Atlantic Ocean; while the tornado is a violent rotating column of air that is in contact with the surface of air and a cumulonimbus cloud; and the typhoon is a mature tropical cyclone that develops in the western part of the North Pacific Ocean.Beautiful photographs with several important facts showing different weather conditions on which hurricanes; tornadoes and typhoons are in effect. Some photos are kind of dramatic based on the destruction that any of those weather conditions can affect. Anyway; this is one excellent publication good for teaching purposes at home and school. As this book has beautiful; full colored; high detailed; photographs/pictures you may want to share with your kids and/or students as they can serve as point for further discussions or a way to develop language skill by promoting the children to express themselves about what they see and understand by looking at the photograph or picture.1 of 1 people found the following review helpful. My kids love science and I try to read to them during ...By crewmomThis is a book in a series of books that I got for my six year old. My kids love science and I try to read to them during the sporting events instead of them playing video games. The books in this series have wonderful pictures along with little facts that go along with them. The words are easy for readers that have been reading for a couple of years but if your child is too young for that this book is great to read to them! The book is written in plan terms that kids can understand. Itrsquo;s a great way to introduce science facts to kids. Each book in this series introduced one particular aspect of science and portrays it in a way that makes kids want to learn more. I plan on recommending this series for the pre-K teacher at my sonsrsquo; school who loves to introduce the kids to science. The pictures in this book is amazing. They are packed with action and true to life situations. Although this book does show debre in the wind it doesnt pose these pictures in a way that would frighten kids. Nature is always a topic kids are interested in. My kids hardly let me finish reading the book because they had so many questions about what we were reading. They were very interested and the kids around us would come over and listen to the book as well.Id recommend this book to anyone with kids. Its a great read for them and is simple for a second year reader.I received this book at a free or reduced price in exchange for providing an honest and unbiased review.
