Yeat! The colloquial greeting is distinctly Newburyport; uttered by this seaports citizens to acknowledge one another in passing or to seek out fellow locals in far-flung places. Individuals featured in Legendary Locals of Newburyport extend to readers a congenial Yeat! William Lloyd Garrison; native son and leading abolitionist; Lord Timothy Dexter; who staged his own mock funeral; Harry OConnor; founder of the Worlds Shortest St. Patricks Day Parade; James Stehlin; celebrated Newburyport High School football coach; Rhina Espaillat; award-winning poet and founder of Powwow River Poets; Richard Simkins; owner of the legendary Grog restaurant-tavern; Sue Little; owner of Jabberwocky Bookshop; Tom Maginnis; drummer for the post-punk band Buffalo Tom; Mickey; feral cat mascot for the Merrimack River Feline Rescue Society; and 1st Lt. Derek Hines; who gave his life while serving his country in Afghanistan; are among the legendary localsnative born and transplantswho have left their imprint; or paw print; upon the Port.

The chords are very close if not exact. It is so rare that one of these books actually nail the chords better than your ear can. This is one of the few guitar chord books I have used; and not had to go to my ear to get a better sounding rendition. Worth it. Small; cheap; easy; accurate. Why cant they all do this? Its not rocket science. I wonder if copyright issues prevent accurate published renditions; or is it laziness; etc...? Who knows.....but this one is good!0 of 0 people found the following review helpful. Sting is the ManBy RenardThis is a great book. What makes it so is Stings style of writing. You can tell which ones He wrote himself and which ones were heavily influence by his working with Andy Summers and Dominic Miller (those are the tough ones). Many of the top hits in this book are easy and will make you feel good about your "guitar playing" self.0 of 0 people found the following review helpful. Not a big fan of chord books and stings songs are intricate enough to make this a choreBy c crabbsIt was a little better than using chordie. You either have to be or make yourself familiar enough with the song to create a reasonable version or your listener wont realize which song you are playing.
