Breath in Action looks at the significance of breath to human life - not just the simple fact that if we stop breathing; we die; but also the more subtle ways in which our breath interacts with our voice and our being. Written by experts in vocal and holistic practice; the book is divided into four sections: Breath and the Body; Breath and the Mind; Breath and Holistic Practice; Breath and Performance. It offers the latest theories from a variety of disciplines on how we can be taught to breathe better so as to communicate better; act or sing better; feel better; live better. Combining theory with practice; many of the chapters also offer clearly laid out breathing exercises and techniques.Interdisciplinary in its focus; Breath in Action adds to specialist knowledge in the performance field; whilst also offering enlightening information for those interested in therapeutic and healing processes; movement; and voice and speech sciences.

Small Book...Big MessageBy V RomeA great little book that can help you self-examine your life and the direction you need to go. When you are at a crossroad in your life. looking for the direction you need to pursue. this book can help. It points out areas that we need to be greatful and those we need to examine and maybe leave behind. Sometimes we dont make the conscience effort to reflect on decisions we or others have made...in order to grow and live a fullfilling life. we must examine what makes us responsible. productive and contributing adults in society. SwansonDont be intimidated by the title of this book. Gregg Krech is a very practical American man. and he uses plain English and clear examples as he teaches his readers how to recognize the way they are supported every minute of every day by people. processes and products that they give nothing back to. not even thanks.Bridges. electric companies. air traffic controllers. the person in the next lane who does not suddenly veer into my lap... Without the efforts and self-control of similar people and processes I rarely notice. my own life would just fall apart!!So would yours! In a time of financial disruption like this. when markets and regulatory processes we mostly ignored have suddenly turned around and demanded our attention in painful and frustrating ways. you might find great comfort in learning to recognize how many OTHER things still operate to benefit and protect you. And you might feel much better if you learn how to appreciate and even deliberately participate in all this invisible kindness and responsibility that goes on. every single minute of our lives.Through well-written real-life stories and easy and effective exercises. Gregg Krechs book teaches you to feel better and behave better. and notice it happening.Wouldnt you like that. right now?Okay. Maybe not as much as your money doubling on the stock market. But maybe enough to smile tonight when you walk in the door. And wouldnt the people you live with be happy about that?
