I just received it this week and I am loving it! The photography is phenomenal; and the book is packed with great images; beautifully styled. The design of the book is elegant...modern; but classic. The writing is engaging and the authors design philosophy is clear and inspirational. Julia Buckingham is a creative force of nature with a personality to match. Really. I have so many design books and this is a great one. I recommend this book to anyone and everyone looking to be inspired by great design and original ideas and presentation..an exquisite book; and a joy to read!1 of 1 people found the following review helpful. Modernique is Chic!By The DesignerModernique is a must have for any design enthusiast. Julia Buckinghams style is unrivaled in the design world for her chic use of antiques mixed with modern elements to create her "Modernique style". I immediately read the book upon arrival but have revisited the pages on many occasions to drink in the designers unique perspective on design. Not only does the book share some exciting projects but also Julias warm and engaging personality and philosophy on design. She creates environments her clients are happy to call home which is what we all crave. I highly recommend this book as an important addition to every design library! Who doesnt want to be chic like Julia Buckingham?
