Franccedil;ois Boucher was a French painter; a proponent of Rococo taste; known for his idyllic and voluptuous paintings on classical themes; decorative allegories representing the arts or pastoral occupations; intended as a sort of two-dimensional furniture. He was perhaps the most celebrated decorative artist of the 18th century. He also painted several portraits of his illustrious patroness; Madame de Pompadour. His name; along with that of his patron Madame de Pompadour; had become synonymous with the French Rococo style.

What about a kindle edition of the original???8 of 9 people found the following review helpful. warning! this is the PLAY version not the original book.By Maeve OReillyThe story is probably the same but I was really disappointed to start reading about how the stage was to set be up for act one and then for every scene after. I didnt mean to buy the play version but its not very clear from the picture or title of this edition. After I discovered this; I went back to the (kindle) book I had bought online and had to magnify the picture of the book to find the small print at the foot of the cover which says its adapted from the book by Edna OBrien. If you want the play version; then youd probably be satisfied enough. The story itself is very depressing and I dont think I could be bothered to read the book at this stage!0 of 0 people found the following review helpful. Two StarsBy E.
