This book seemed to be mostly a vehicle for displaying other artists work that was made with maps. It was nice as a gallery of work but thats not what I was looking for from a book.2 of 4 people found the following review helpful. Another great creative book using mapsBy A. CoCoA great addition to my collection of art books using maps in creative ways. Nicely done.2 of 2 people found the following review helpful. from elaborate fine art to simple arts crafts displaysBy MichelleMy daughters new husband really loves old maps; so she wanted to surprise him by decorating the office in their new home with maps; and so I got her this book. Its a serious walkthrough of a wide range of decorating styles and approaches; from elaborate fine art to simple arts crafts displays. I like how map motifs and literal maps are both used in so many different ways. Shes finding that printing old maps she finds online to be a way to save money moving forward; and to discover all sorts of maps -- everything from medieval maps; to vintage Disneyland maps; to the classic Middle Earth map that Tolkien drew himself. She was able to do a variety of things with the new study; and hes thrilled. We both recommend this book.
