Jack Dykinga worked in Chicago journalism. It is not only a history of himself and his arrival into nature photography; it is a strong history of journalism with a backstage pass. There are tons of advice for photographers; as well; not only on searching out the best composition for a nature scene on foot but on moving to the next level of photographic skill. Technical skills can be learned elsewhere; but this is the place to improve creative skills.2 of 2 people found the following review helpful. A Wonderful LifeBy Rob ShapiroI cracked open this treasure this morning and could not put it down; finishing it this afternoon. The book takes you through Jacks life from Pulitzer Prize winner to award winning landscape photographer and ending with his successful medical challenge. One story presented told of the emotion brought out by Jack and other workshop leaders on one particular trip; emotions that I quite often feel when I am out shooting. Jacks narrative and photos presented are sure to inspire others to go out and make a difference!1 of 1 people found the following review helpful. Excellent autobiography.
