I have only had it two days. but I am thrilled at the organization of his program and how it is helping me with the "baffling brushes" . the file saving and the layer opportunies. plus his English accent and slow way of explaining makes it even more pleasant to learn. I would like a bunch more videos. I read it in bed. in the middle of the night. and watch the computer part when I get up or during the day when I am working on a project. I have seen lot of tutorials from 10 and 11 instructors. but Painter 12 interface is so different and so much better. and his easy explanations make it possible to proceed in the program. Kudos to him!A happy customer! Bought it at of course. the Shangi La of shopping!23 of 24 people found the following review helpful. Excellent Painter Tutorial for PhotographersBy Doug KyleI have struggled with versions 10 and 11 of Painter and as a result have stuck to Photoshop for most of my creative efforts. Painter 12 has made some significant improvements and Martins book is just what you need to turn your photographs into works of art. I bought the Kindle version and downloaded it to my iPad. I was surprised to learn that it has a link to his website that has all the exercise files for download. The web site also has 31 step by step tutorials in PDF format and 10 video tutorials that demonstrate Martins approach. He demonstrates exactly how to clone the photograph and set the brushes. At this point in time (November 7. 2011) this book and accompaning videos and files is clearly the best training available for Painter 12. I highly recommend it.7 of 7 people found the following review helpful.
