Painting Expressive Watercolours

[ebooks] Painting Expressive Watercolours by Mike Chaplin in Arts-Photography

Description

Best-selling author of The Not So Big House Sarah Susanka teams up with architectural design writer Marc Vassallo to expand upon the message that has resonated with over a million homeowners and builders across the country: opting for personalized; well-crafted; thoughtfully designed spaces over superfluous square footage results in a home that comforts and nourishes those who live there. Susanka and Vassallo focus their lens on the tangible and sometimes intangible details that bring an otherwise ordinary home to life. Incorporating such details as dropped ceilings; built-in shelves; pocket doors; window seats; and well-placed alcoves infuses a home with the character of its owners and conveys a uniqueness thats mising in many homes built or remodeled today. From Rhode Island to San Diego; the 23 homes featured here illustrate exceptional attention to detail. Each offers inspiration for those building or remodeling to transform their home into an expression of all that is important to them.

CoombsAs the title says; this is a very comprehensive breed guide; Janet explains in great detail the roll of each farm dog ( herder; livestock guardian; terrier; and general farm dog). And then she provides complete and accurate information about the most common dog breedsin each of these 4 catagories; as well as many of the much rarer breeds. She dispels many myths and provides beautiful photographs of each breed. I know that Janet did a ton of research preparing for this book. She spoke to leading authorities about the individual breeds and compiled it all here for us to learn from. If you only get ONE book; this should be the one.7 of 8 people found the following review helpful. Before you buy the wrong pup for your farm; read this and pick from breeds you wont have to fight instincts to get the job don.By Odies MomThis book was recommended by someone on a group I belong to. I was looking for a low prey drive breed to add to our farm which can be difficult to find. Bought the book and found 3 breeds that fit our criteria and one of which I had never even thought of. Now we can look for a pup based on breed traits for a breed that with additional training and supervision should be just the dog for the job we want done.0 of 0 people found the following review helpful. Excellent!By Pat HuffordThis is a great book. We have had English Shepherds and Australian Shepherds but really knew little or nothing about many of the breeds included in this book. It excels in the breath of information it provides on each breed. There are a couple of farms in our area that use Great Pyrenees to guard their herds of Alpacas and other flocks; so it was especially interesting to read about them. I cant imagine a better guide if you are considering bringing one of these dogs into your life.
