The quality is so poor I cannot event read the footnotes: they were chopped in half!3 of 4 people found the following review helpful. excellent!By WRTIVERTONThis book is outstanding. Its all about temporal drag and the syncopated time of performance. Well written. the book draws on theoretical ideas that range from critical theory to performativity to affect theory to ideas about labor in contemporary art. It also illuminates a variety of first hand scenes and experiences. For anyone interested in the relationship of re-performance in museums today to other live arts such as dance. theatre. tableaux vivant. and even "live" photography. this is a must read.
