A great resource for learning perspective. (Most of the examples can be drawn by the student in a few minutes in order to gain firsthand experience.) Also a comprehensive reference. covering advanced subjects like the perspective of reflections and shadows. arches. curves. etc. There are also sections on the history of perspective. and on mechanical perspective as practiced by architects. I found the writing to be clear. though the English is from 1921. The content is relevant and practical. avoiding esoteric technicalities. but leaving out nothing essential for the understanding of how perspective works and why. A myriad of practical examples is provided for solving real-world perspective problems of the kinds faced by professional artists in just about any representational genre.1 of 1 people found the following review helpful. An all-inclusive guide on perspective for artistsBy E. M. HoboA great classical guide that focuses on drawing (as such also applicable to painting) from a point of view of craftsmanship. It teaches everything there is to know on perspective. also how to draw relatively complex objects. like a tile-floor. and a boat.0 of 0 people found the following review helpful. Glad to have it nowBy No More Tea For YouThis book is very well detailed and helps to visually understand how architectural drawings are accomplished. Glad to have it now.
