If bringing home interesting / good photos is important to you. this will help a lot. The book definitely got me to some very photogenic sites I would not have known about. Some hobbyist photographers who lived in that area were not aware of some of them! In Charleston. its also very worthwhile to sign up for the History Photo Tour (google it). There are a couple of different routes in the historic area.
