We will be using this book for tattoo reference and it is perfect for this purpose. The images could be used pretty much as is for blackwork. The only critique I have is the paper isnt the highest quality. I wouldnt recommend it for a "high traffic" library. There are two artists in our household so this wont be the case for us. The paper quality is the same for any paperback book you will buy on . the prices are GREAT but the paper is a little easier to tear. Its a trade off I can easily live with. LOVE how every item is conveniently identified in the index (maybe a handful of the 2400 are labeled unidentified)--very easy to look up the item in the index. its organized by page and each illustration is assigned a number. I also love how theres extra sections for plant related stuff like ornate pots. green houses. and plants as frames like borders. Overall. excellent purchase.
