I played in high school without a private teacher and this book convinces me that a knowledgeable tutor could work wonders; especially those equipped with this informational goldmine.I do not suggest this book for a young; beginner player. Experienced players could glean valuable information about every aspect of playing. If you are a brass teacher; this book is well researched and you need this informationThis is not a method book with etudes. It is not a self-teaching guide. You will not find music theory or even the rudiments of music. It is all about physicality affecting tonality.I cannot add anything to the information that is given the fine description and other fine reviews. I just want to give thumbs up to a superb book about learning and teaching trumpet.0 of 0 people found the following review helpful. Excellent! Buy it!By SBThis book is fantastic! I came across a few pages online and instantly felt drawn to the simple effective concepts described. This book is by far one of the most important bodies of text I have come across and should be in every musicians library!0 of 0 people found the following review helpful.
