I am always looking for good information about shops; traditions; etc. this book has it all.I will be back in Mexico next year and will modify the itinerary I had in mind because of places I read about in this book.HIGHLY recommended!1 of 1 people found the following review helpful. It looks like a picture book - lovely; lovely photos of people and textiles in the places discussed in the book; but thats deceptive. Its full of useful information for the traveler who wants to visit the places described (hotels; restaurants; artisans) as well as interesting and helpful information about the textiles available in each of the places. Its different than many travel books because of the passion and personalities of the writers reflected in each discussion. I particularly appreciated the "Guide to Ethical Shopping;" a thoughtful reminder of the long-term consequences of excessive bargaining. It makes me want to pack my bag!0 of 0 people found the following review helpful. Lovely photosBy SharebeautyThis is probably a great book for a neophyte to indigenous textiles of Mexico . For someone like me whos traveled lives in Mexico I was hoping for more .
