[ePub] Raacute;dio: A miacute;dia da emoccedil;atilde;o (Portuguese Edition) by Cyro Ceacute;sar at Arts-Photography

Description

Fashion in the Edwardian period underwent some quite revolutionary changes. The delicately coloured; flower-and-lace-trimmed trailing gowns and elaborate hairstyles worn by tightly corseted fashionable ladies in the early years of Edward VIIs reign would transform into the boldly coloured; dramatically stylized Eastern-inspired kimono wraps; slender hobble skirts; ankle-skimming tunic dresses and turbans of 1914 on the eve of the First World War. This book presents the story of womens and mens dress through this exciting period; and is a fascinating addition to the bestselling Shire fashion list that already includes Fashion in the Time of Jane Austen and Fashion in the Time of the Great Gatsby.

I personally would like to see a book of patterns and how to create them. Seeing someone elses designs is interesting but unless you know how the patterns are created it is sometimes difficult to re-create them. I have several books on tangling and am still looking for one that doesnt rely on empty workspaces and someone elses designs.5 of 5 people found the following review helpful. Not For MeBy C. IrishI love getting new Zentangle books for ideas and inspiration; however; this Tangled Up! isnt for me. If you are new to tangling; this is probably a good choice; but if youve done it a while; this book is a disappointment. There is nothing new. The tangles are not intricate but very bold and broad-exactly like the cover shows-through and through. I found nothing new in this book. The reason I gave this 3 stars is because if I were new to Zentangle; I might have enjoyed this book but its really basic. I just cant recommend this book; sadly. If you have other books on tangling; you dont need this one. Its too cutesy and its really just basic and boring.1 of 1 people found the following review helpful. A truly delightful and informative book; great fun!By CustomerOne of the best books on the subject! For a beginner; its basic and for someone who has been tangling for awhile; its really fun! I love everything about this book from the size; layout; whimsical ideas and great illustrations. The paper it is printed on is one of the parts I like over some of the other books I have like it because the quality of the paper and the ink used makes the tangles just jump off the page. I also love the fact that the artist gives me freedom to make copies of the templates in the back of the book to use them to encourage others to give it a try. Im anxious to introduce my grandchildren to tangling and hang out with them while we create beautiful artwork together! Love love love love this book!
