Excellent photographs.By lyndonbrechtSome text. mostly photos and they are excellent. Its reefs and rainforest in Papua New Guinea. the Solomons and Queensland. The author spent many years in the area and this seems to be a sort of retrospective. He is not optimistic about either rainforest or reefs. because of large scale timbering and overfishing (and cutting timber can lead to river pollution that affects reefs near shore). In that sense it is a depressing book. but the photographs are also a reminder of how wonderfully varied and colorful life can be.
