Scanning Negatives and Slides: Digitizing Your Photographic Archives

[ePub] Scanning Negatives and Slides: Digitizing Your Photographic Archives by Sascha Steinhoff at Arts-Photography

Description

Caledonia County; located in Vermonts "Northeast Kingdom;" comprises 17 towns and villages. Early settlers cleared heavily forested land; and communities slowly took form. Businesses such as mills and factories emerged along the many rivers. Each town and village had many special attributes--Rickers sawmill in Groton cut timbers until 1965; Peacham provided granite for monuments across the country; and St. Johnsbury manufactured goods like scales and maple syrup. Hardworking and industrious; residents have endured fires; floods; extremely harsh winters; and droughts; and they continue to boast a resilient spirit today.

This book is a must-have for anyone who loves Paris; anyone going to Paris and/or anyone who wants to bring Paris home with them. Its a veritable treasure trove of inside picks and hidden gems that makes the reader want to buy a ticket to Paris tout de suite. The book is divided into different sections by types of Parisians - which is both clever and fun. This is definitely not your typical Paris travel guide. Niles clearly spent a lot of time hob-knobbing with locals; luminaries and insiders in order to amass this impressive and beautiful resource. I want to go to Paris before the rest of the world discovers this book!4 of 4 people found the following review helpful. What a great book!By AllyPWhat a great book! It is like talking to a foodie girlfriend (and looking through her incredibly artistic Instagram feed) who has great fashion taste and has lived in Paris for a long time. You will get the info on all the cool places to see and all the great restaurants to visit. The concept of describing the kind of woman that would live in each of the main Paris neighborhoods and where shed shop and dine is so fresh and innovative. You pick the type that you most closely associate with and then pick your Paris trip focus - brilliant! Having perused a crazy amount of guidebooks; this one is by far the best I have seen on Paris.1 of 1 people found the following review helpful. Better for a second trip; but perfect for a young woman visiting ParisBy JessicaI bought this book to do some initial research before my first trip to Paris; and brought it with me to refer to during my stay. Since it was my first trip I spent most of my time doing typical tourist things; but I did look for restaurant recommendations and ideas for off the beaten path. All of the suggestions I tried were perfect. This was a great guide and Im going to use it if or when I return to Paris. The style advice for each neighborhood was helpful and accurate; too.
