There are about 200 books in this ebook series that are offered in the kindle store for either free or for .99cent;. You cant really go wrong with the books offered for free. There is a variety of subjects covered and most of the books follow about the same format. You can take a peek inside the books by clicking "Look Inside" and this is pretty much what you get in each book.I gave this ebook only 4 stars because it just seemed so short. It seems the format for this book and most of the Baby Professor books have a picture with a paragraph and facts on the page. Then the next page is just a photo. It would be nice if they had another paragraph on that page as well or at least had the name of snake that is pictured. But again; since many are free its hard to complain. This book especially seemed to be lacking because the pictures were almost repetitive. Overall; I do love the photos but it would be nice if the books went into more detail but they are very basic books that I hope will get my kids interested in finding more about each subject.I plan on keeping these books on my iPad for down time for my kids when they get bored waiting different places like the doctors office or practice for a sibling. I hope these books will spark some interest in my kiddos on various subjects. I also occasionally entertain a friends 3 year old daughter and she loves looking through pictures on my phone. Next time; Im going let her look through these books. I think maybe the photos are a bit repetitive - just showing snakes curled up kind of - and thats pretty much it. I am familiar with this whole series and publishing company; so I know what pictures they are capable of finding - and this book seems a bit tame to me; considering the topic. I just remember a picture of a snake eating an egg. As a teacher of elementary students; I would love to incorporate this ebook into a small group activity where I present a main idea or topic to the whole class and then they break up in small groups and discover more material on their own. My mind was continuously racing as I read through this book thinking of different projects I could make on this topic. It is the perfect age group to let them use a kindle to explore and what a better way to do so than with this ebook! I will totally let other teachers know of this opportunity and will keep this seller in mind with other ebooks available.
