And right after they leave their apartment to go see a friend off to the airport or a train station (I cant remember which one); the zombie apocalypse happens. Right away the characters are pretty dull; they dont really have anything that makes them relatable other than they drank a lot last night and they are taking public transportation.The story itself needs a lot of work from a proofreader. There are several parts of this book that have grammatical errors; like "iphone" should be "iPhone." "Storeys" should be "stories." And "autobots" should be "Autobots." Also in places words are singular when they should be pluralized; small words are missing like "of" or "the" or "a;" etc. At first its just annoying but then it becomes downright distracting because you have to re-read sentences a few times just to put the pieces together in your head to figure out what the author meant.The ending twist is actually not bad and makes me want to know what happens next. And for that reason the book gets 2 stars instead of just 1 star. If the author could clean this up a bit then it would make for a really good opening to a longer story.
