Sew What You Love: The Easiest; Prettiest Projects Ever

[ebooks] Sew What You Love: The Easiest; Prettiest Projects Ever by Tanya Whelan at Arts-Photography

Description

This book deals with the critical nature and crucial role of architectural drawings. A manual which is essentially not a manual; it is an elucidation of an elegant manner for practising architecture. Organized around eleven exercises; the book does not emphasize speed; nor incorporate many timesaving tricks typical of drawing books; but rather proposes a slow; meditative process for construing drawings and for drawing constructing thoughts. This is an indispensable reference text and an effective textbook for students seeking to advance their appreciation of the nature and exercise of architectural drawings.

The instructions are very clear and the patterns included are fantastic. I really loved the bags and sewing for yourself sections of this book. I gave it three stars because I felt that a large portion of this book was devoted to clothing for little girls and baby toys. Those of us with older children end up with a lot of projects that will never be attempted. Great for someone with a baby or toddler girl. those of us with boys are kinda left out though.5 of 5 people found the following review helpful. I made my first bag ever!By beeSo far. Ive made three projects in this book. I made the baby blocks and baby ball and put squeakers in each to use as dog toys. I also made the City Tote that is featured on the cover using the pattern included. This is the first bag Ive ever made and I have to say it turned out better than it thought! As a beginner. I did have a little trouble understanding Whelans directions. I had to redo my darts after Id sewn all the way around the bag (simply because Ive never done darts before!). and my handles dont look very nice on their undersides. but ultimately. I figured it out.3 of 3 people found the following review helpful. LOVE the projects in this book!!!By Barb GriffinI have been sewing a long time and was lukewarm about getting this book. Boy. was I ever in for a treat! I have made six projects from the book so far and really just getting started! The instructions are good and the pattern envelope on the back of the book is so handy for storing the pieces so I dont lose them! This book is great for all types of sewers: home decor projects. fun things for babies and kids. and snappy purses. totes and accessories. Ive got a post-it notes sticking up for new things to try next - the ideas just keep flowing!
