Memory LaneBy chickenlilThis is a great compilation of photos and history of Levittown; where I grew up - and left at age 18 - I was surprised to learn many of the details and had not realized what a significant cultural "development" it was...A great place to raise a family and grow up; we were very free as children to live in a safe community; with ample resources for entetainment; exercise; involvement and excellent schools; as well as those "wonderful homes". Looking back with fondness and understanding I did not have as a child; this book is a trip down memory lane. I shared it at a family gathering and it was a big hit; esp. some of the older people who recognized their friends photos in the book.0 of 0 people found the following review helpful. We hear of the civil rights movement in the South but never really how much the North had an impact on African Americans too. Great book!
