Absolutely LOVE this book!!By ReaceI copied and pasted a bit of my review from the Shojo Manga Pop Romance book. since this one is basically the same thing.Except that theres different content (obviously). different theme (action) and different characters.. (like samurais. warriors. etc) still. this is just as a wonderful book as the Shojo one :) I love both of them!Im gonna start off by saying these books are in no way made for beginner manga artists. They dont teach you the basics. like how to draw heads. eyes. hair. etc. The way the book starts off. its already implying you already know the basics and you have been drawing long enough to know how to sketch and create characters.Each drawing featured shows briefly how the sketch was done. before adding hair. clothes. background. inking. etc. Then it shows the coloring process. then the finished product. This process is shown for every single drawing or painting in the book. Each artist has their own style of drawing and coloring too. so its a mix of traditional and digital artwork.The book is really heavy too. which is good in my personal opinion. it means theres a lot of content contained in there. Meaning more to learn. more pictures to look at.. Im a very happy customer :DSo. since its heavy its also a really thick book too. but the cover is glossy and not hard at all. So it might kind of hover over pages when you close the book. (like it wont close all the way) after heavy use.. like holding the book open for a long time while youre reading the steps and looking at artwork. Which is what I expect. since I like to take in all the details. heh.. Theres also a lot of different poses. themes. character designs and different styles of coloring and drawing. so theres alot to take in here. Theres at least 350 pages in this book. Im not exaggerating.Overall Im very pleased. When the package came in. the book was wrapped tightly in plastic covering. which was also wrapped in loose plastic covering. Everything is still in wonderful condition and looks new! This book doesnt really have tutorial but it shows how the artwork is approach from sketch and progress through different layers of coloring. Great buyBy AlyssaThis book is really great. it helps you to draw digitally. which I have lacking skills in. because traditional is my favorite medium. It does help with anatomy. and it gives great tips when coloring. Doesnt matter if your going traditional or digital. shadows and such are practically the same. So I think personally you should be able to use the digital coloring traditionally too.
