Delightful look at the Cuban language and its expression of a unique cultureBy RimaThis is a lovely little book for anyone curious about expressions and words in the Cuban language that you cant find in any Spanish-language dictionary. In addition to being informative; there is a lot of humor in the text and the accompanying drawings. This book is an invaluable reference for those of us who translate.2 of 2 people found the following review helpful. Got this for a friend of the family before she ...By DrabeyGot this for a friend of the family before she traveled to Cuba for the month of January; 2017. While the book is interesting; she could not find anyone in her month on the island that recognized the "Cubanisms" in the vast majority of the book. It became a running (somewhat self deprecating) joke with her travelmates to pull to book out each day; show it to a few Cuban citizens; and watch them shake their heads in bewilderment.1 of 1 people found the following review helpful.
