(Which is of course why she has won Combat photographer of the year twice. the only woman to ever do so.) Her photographs are intuitive. emotional and straight to the heart of the issue. While most people might think of combat photography as all gore. this book will prove that it is not that. but real people doing a very hard job in very difficult situations. Looking at her work makes me appreciate our military men and women even more.0 of 0 people found the following review helpful. A Great Book for Any PhotographerBy DesolaStacy has given us the honor to have a glimpse into what it is like to be a combat photographer. I had tears going through this book. but I also had many smiles. This book is powerful not only in the words. but in the photographs as each one tells a story. Even for the photographs. I suggest this book to any photographer or really anyone in general. I had the great privilege to intern for this great photographer. as she is one of the strongest women I still know in my life. Thank You. Stacy Pearsall. for creating this book and sharing this part of your life with the world.
