It describes how to work within existing building codes to create a basic shell of hybrid spaces that allows artists and other creative entrepreneurs to define how they live and work. All the pictures you see in magazines are great....but half of them would be illegal if you went to try to build them now. Typically; "codes" and "design" are pretty far apart.
