HaynesI am glad I bought this slim book; which tells the story of growing up in the Great Smokey Mountains from the 1920s to the 1940s. Great personal documentation of life in Cades CoveBy cmh101A Cades Cove Childhood was a great read. It was a first hand account of what life was like in Cades Cove before it was a park. These types of stories give you a insight into personalities and day to day relations that you dont get in most history books. Love it.1 of 1 people found the following review helpful.
