(Applause Books). Voices of Color is a trailblazing collection of scenes and monologues by African American playwrights. This major omnibus of contemporary American writing will serve as a primary resource for African American artists in search of their own voice for the stage. Actors and directors will now have access to a much larges spectrum of work in which to shine. Readers will be introduced to a rich; vibrant medley of work of the human spirit. And schools; colleges and libraries will; at last; have the book we all need to fully explore Americas potential for drama.

A "Salem Girl" born and bred; but now happily living in Florida; I have so many memories of that grand old city. This book is a delight. My Daddy worked at Parker Brothers for many years; and I have for years looked for a good picture of the old factory and found it in this book. I highly recommend Salem; Now and Then- not only for displaced Salem folks; but for anyone interested in this historic city. Residents and visitors alike will enjoy seeing Salem in the "good old days."0 of 0 people found the following review helpful.
