Smoke on the Water?By George KaplanGreat collection of jazz tunes and standards featuring some deep cuts from the likes of John Lewis; Red Mitchell; Benny Carter. Much to play through at the piano and discover; especially some unknown (to me) tunes from Harry Warren and Lew Henderson. But; but; but. There are some clams here. Can anybody at Hal Leonard tell me why they saw fit to include jarring rock numbers like Smoke on the Water? Theres just a few of them and they dont affect my rave rating; but still. Space could have been much better used by including numbers that the audience for this book might actually want / need.0 of 0 people found the following review helpful. On Kindle Cloud Reader; Vol 6 would be perfect if it had clickable links to individual songsBy RdgJr near NYCI access "The Real Book" volumes 1 through 6 via the Kindle Cloud Reader on my Chromebook. Unlike Volumes 1 through 5; Volume 6 on Kindle Cloud Reader does NOT have links in the table of contents that go directly to the songs..The songs in volume 6 are excellent and complement nicely the songs in the first 5 volumes I went to the Hal Leanard website and reported this problem on August 6; 2017. A few days later a Hal Leonard customer support representative forwarded my problem report to their digital team. The digital team wrote back to say they did not consider this to be a problem. They conceded the links do not work on Kindle Cloud Reader; but pointed out the links on Volume VI work on iPad and iPhone They wrote that it was hard for them to test the links in the Kindle Cloud Reader. They did not shut the door on fixing the links in the Kindle Cloud Reader-- all they would say is that it is possible it might be added in the future to their work list.3 of 3 people found the following review helpful. so you can see that I like them very wellBy DBI have all of the available books in this series in Eb Bb and C; so you can see that I like them very well; but; this Volume VI came without pages 409 through 424. Has anyone else had this happen? I intend to ask for a replacement book; but perhaps anyone who has purchased this volume should check that all of the pages are really there. It only matters to me in that I have no access to a Gershwin tune.
