[DOC] Stevie Ray Vaughan - Lightnin' Blues 1983-1987 Songbook by Stevie Ray Vaughan in Arts-Photography

Description

Sustainable Cities is about the challenges faced by our urban environments and how these can be met. Examining the built environment at three levels of observation - individual buildings; urban neighbourhoods; and entire cities and towns; the first part of the book reveals the scale of the task. The second part of the book offer a critical assessment of the techniques used to assess urban development; including the measurement of greenhouse gas emissions; ecological footprint analysis; and the measurement of urban biodiversity; where different approaches can yield significantly different results. It concludes with an alternative approach to greenhouse gases; making the case for them to be seen as a resource rather than as a liability. In the final part; case studies of best practice are presented. With contributions from a range of leading international specialists; Sustainable Cities will be essential reading for academics and professionals in urban and municipal planning; environmental policy and planning; architecture; urban geography; climate change; energy resources and environmental science and technology.

Straight Up Accurate and Complete Tabs. But....By GrayzerIf you need or want to learn the bass for these SRV songs. then this is the bass book for you. Its accurate and complete. its got bass tabs. However. if you are interested in learning something about Tommy Shannon. SRVs bassist. then this is not the book you want. Shannon appears on the cover. and theres a one mention of him in the book. his name appears once on a bio page--about SRV. The book has no info or discussion of Shannon and his style. Im a big fan of SRV--and I know some might consider this blasphemy--but I got this book because Im also a fan of Shannon.Im also a fan of bass books. However. I dont buy the books just to learn the bass line for songs. I can usually do that on my own. and. if not. there are a lot of online resources to help out. So basically I buy these books for the added value of information and discussion. of which none appears here. For what it does offers. this book does an excellent job. It nails it. Its accurate and complete. Its what it doesnt offer that earns the 3 stars.8 of 9 people found the following review helpful. Excellent Bass Tab for SRVBy A CustomerI am a bass player in a pick up band and we cover a bunch of SRV songs. This book was very helpful for me because it takes a long time to figure out the tab by myself and I learn a lot from the SRV bass lines because they are very melodic and dont really repeat themselves too often. If you are in a band that plays SRV this is highly recommended. Or if you are interested in rock bass lines. following SRV songs will be a help unless you are already a pro. The tab seems very faithful to the music I play along and rarely notice a difference (I certainly couldnt do it nearly as well).
